Your, My And Our Time

Description

A Lumix shot from last night at Fairytale Hall that got crazier and more magical than even I was expecting - because of my watch. Cinderella had pointed out my watch - a Citizen Eco-Drive BN0019-57L (nicknamed "The Orca" by some) that my father had given me before my second College Program session and has a titanium case and bezel, black dial and black rubber strap. It's also designed as a diver's watch safe up to 200 meters. She said it was good that I had one so that I could be where I had to be at a given time - including midnight. "You know, I was wishing that Fairy Godmother would give me one of those...you remember that night? And so I had to look for that beautiful clock in the castle...but if I had that, I wouldn't have been late!"

An idea suddenly struck me, and I grinned and said, "Well..." I then started taking the watch off and putting it on her own wrist. She was both shocked and happy at this, saying, "Oh, no, no, no. You do not have to give...no!" She then, though, added, "This is quite lovely!" The attendant or photographer pointed out that the long strap initially made it look like it was too big for her wrist, but it fit great once I tightened it.

"Oh, my goodness..." She said, as she looked at how it looked on her gloved wrist. I then explained how, since it's an Eco-Drive, it never needs winding, which sets it apart from other watches that people in her court might have already. When I'd done that, she said again, "Oh, my goodness..." She then added, "Well, it is quite lovely, but I feel like you should definitely keep it to always remember me. What do you think? Should you keep this - that way, you can always remember me?... 'Cause that way, we had a special moment with this. Right? And then, that way, every time I see you, I can see it."

"If that's what you wish." I replied, taken aback, though in a good way. To that, she replied, "I would love that!" I then asked, "But could I ask one favor?" When she said, "Yes," I told her, "Keep it on for the photos, please." This is what resulted - a shot where I held up her left arm with my hands under the watch while her other hand held my hands in place.

That sure was nice of you, giving your watch like that. Me, being a possessive Taurus, would be a little less liberal with something so precious, considering your dad gave it to you.
