The Story Of Us

A PhotoPass photo from the Hall of Fame on December 3rd, 2009. I was debuting the finalized version of the first volume of The Voyage - Light The Passion, Share The Dream - and Belle wore that expression because she seeing one of the photos from our first meeting at Akershus over six months beforehand, which was the night she and the others brought me under their wings. It was a time where she was reminded as I was that for everything I'd managed to overcome and achieve during my time there, there was a time where I was just a skilled and enthusiastic but nervous and unproven boy from North Carolina State that they had chosen to take a chance on.

When I look at her face now, not only does she look like she was about to cry (which amazes me, honestly), but she looks like she was going back over what had happened since that Sunday night in May.

Did we really do that? Did I really do that? She probably asked herself. If I had heard that, I would have replied, We did. I made it this far because my story became a part of your story, Cinderella's, Aurora's, Ariel's, Snow White's...I made it because it became our story.
