A PhotoPass shot from Not-So-Scary Halloween last October 29th. Even though Mika (FuriePhoenix) had already had an emotional reunion with Ariel in mermaid form at the new Grotto, we all knew she had to take the lead again given her history because the moment Ariel was able to sit down with Mika while Mika was dressing as her (they'd seen each other while Mika was doing so at Rapunzel's coronation in London two years beforehand, but it was in passing - Ariel: Disney's Fourth Princess - fav.me/d4bt3ax ) was a long time coming. I know I personally was honored to see it for myself and be a part of it.

Ariel initially didn't recognize her own seafoam dress, but immediately picked up on Mika's hair, saying, "Oh, my gosh, you look beautiful tonight! You're such a beautiful mermaid." Mika, as you can imagine, was visibly happy to hear that. Ariel then remarked that she'd have to talk to Madam Carlotta about getting her seafoam dress - which she said looked beautiful on Mika - back into her closet. She then saw me and recognized me, at which point I told her that I felt like I was watching the reunion of two long-lost sisters - which Ariel agreed with - and explained that I wasn't Mika's prince but her security detail for the evening. After this photo gave us both a hug and praised us for being kind - at which point we told her that we got that from her.
