The previous week, while I was meeting her at the German Showcase Snow White had mentioned that she and a number of the other Princesses had had a tea party together and said that I was welcome to the next one - to which I said that I was honored but didn't know if I'd proven that I was worthy, which I defined as being strong enough in both heart and mind. I'd said that mindful that I was going through a very challenging stretch of school - as I thought, never mind that I had known them for almost four years and had proven myself on the College Program twice - but Snow White still told me she thought I was worthy enough despite my doubts.

When I came to Town Square Theater, I came with so much of that weight lifted off my shoulders - I'd just found out I'd gotten through the semester still with a B- semester average, which meant I was successfully through my first year of graduate school. I explained to Aurora that what had helped me keep going even through the rough patch was the fact that she'd been so happy to see me in my red NC State graduation gown when I'd celebrated completing my bachelor's degree (Thank You For Bringing Him Home - [link], which reminded me that I not only wanted to succeed as a master's student for myself but also to make her and the others proud again.

Aurora then told me something that suggested that she and Snow White had had a chat. She said warmly, "Do you know why? We are so very proud of you...and you keep up the good work, all right? Don't ever forget you're very strong in here and here." She said, pointing to my head and my heart as I'd done while talking to Snow White. "So keep up the good work, all right? I can't wait to see you in that black gown (for UCF) - it'll be so sweet." This was when this was taken - Aurora motioning with her hands and encouraging me with her words and expressions to keep working hard and believe in my power.
