Class With The Princesses

How's it been, guys? I got the idea for this arrangement after seeing photos of Caitlin (~senior007) with Aurora, Cinderella and Belle after she arrived last week in Orlando for the Disney College Program talking with them and asking them for tips. It's something that I'm real happy to see because I know myself that it's not only very fun but also very enriching and inspirational.

What we've found is that it's a bit like Tuesdays With Morrie - profound meetings that a student has with a teacher that evolve into a class. It's certainly not a class that's on the official curriculum, but it's starting to make a name for itself because people like us have enjoyed it so much. It's a bit like independent study because the student chooses where and when to meet, what to study, and also which Princess(es) are teaching - although I wouldn't put it past them to also accommodate pairs, trios and small study groups. We've even brought our books - Caitlin has a book including sketches and photos of her portraying Aurora and Belle while I have The Voyage.

I listed Caitlin's topics as fashion and philosophy because she's studied fashion and talks to them about it while also asking them for advice as she keeps working towards dualizing as one of them while I listed my topics as service and leadership because I talked with them about work matters and about my Custodial teammates - and also about my classes in Organizational Leadership (2009) and Exploring Guest Service (2011), which helped me get a skill set that put me ahead of the pack.

The arrangement is very simple - because Caitlin has shared photos with Belle, Cinderella and Aurora so far, I just picked out my favorites and those three of my own shots featuring me talking with the three of them. One final note - Cinderella has given Caitlin and me the exact same advice and I think she would to you too: keep dreaming fearlessly and keep our hearts open.
