Cheering Up Merida - The Reaction

A follow-up to another shot I posted earlier in the evening. When I sang the first stanza of Flower Of Scotland to cheer Merida up after the bears had to head home ([link]), I hoped that it'd work and that she'd like it - but I never saw what happened next coming.

It looked like she had tears in her eyes and her voice was cracking as she hugged me and exclaimed, "You're so sweet!" She then took my hands, and after we'd had some regular photos, she gave me another hug that you see here. I was astounded to hear her say she'd always remember it and that she said it was better than shooting for her heart, but I was even more astounded that I'd possibly brought a character to happy tears for the first time - something I didn't think I had it in me to do.
