18 Years In The Making

A shot I took with the iPad from Lamps of Wonder at the Moroccan Showcase on October 20th. As I waited to see Aladdin and Jasmine, I could see a couple who was very excited to see Aladdin and Jasmine even though they were older. This was one of those times where I could feel my hairs start to stand up because I knew something was about to happen...but I still wasn't ready for what happened when they met Aladdin and Jasmine.

As it turned out, the couple had had the two of them at their wedding (whether it was in person or in decorative form, I didn't know), had danced to A Whole New World as newlyweds...from what I understood, the whole nine yards. And finally, 18 years later, they were getting to meet them and say thank you. I have to tell you guys...there wasn't a soul in the room who wasn't amazed. For their part, Aladdin and Jasmine were clearly very happy to have been such a big part of that day and to get to see them.

When my turn came up a short time later, they were all too happy to talk to me about it, and as Aladdin told me, "Eighteen years! Isn't that crazy?" I completely agreed, saying, "It may not be 10,000 like Genie, but still...my God!"
